Fees
The number of people attending each course is limited to ensure maximum opportunity to gain hands on experience of the equipment used. Our published fees include course notes, light lunch and refreshments, although for the SMATV Distance Learning course, lunch and refreshments only apply on practical days.
The fees do not include the cost of overnight accommodation should this be necessary, however, the CAI can advise you of local hotels or guesthouses if required.
Payment
Full payment of the appropriate course fees should accompany the booking form and be sent to the CAI office no later than 14 days before the course commences. The CAI cannot guarantee to hold any places on courses unless full payment is received in advance.
Cancellations and Transfers
SMATV Distance Learning Course
Cancellations or transfers after places have been confirmed will incur an administration charge of 15% of the course fee if made later than 3 days prior to the course commencing. Substitutions made before this date can be made at no cost penalty. No refund will be payable for cancellations made after the course start date, however, substitutions can be made during the first 4 weeks of the course commencement at the cost quoted above.
Short Courses
A charge of £50.00 per student will be made if cancellation occurs within 7 days of the course commencing. For cancellations up to 3 days prior to the course commencement, the full course fee will be forfeited. Transfers after places have been confirmed will incur an administration charge of 15% of the course fee if made later than 3 days prior to the course commencing. Substitutions made before this date can be made at no cost penalty.
General Note: Whilst every endeavour will be made to run each course as stated, the CAI reserves the right to transfer candidates to another date if necessary. The minimum notice for cancellation/transfer is no later than 3 days prior to the course commencement and the CAI accepts no responsibility for any consequential losses that this may cause.
Security
If you are attending a course at the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Centre in Aldershot, security is very tight because this is part of the Army resettlement facility. If you are taking a vehicle to the course you must supply the CAI with full registration details in advance. These details will then be notified to the training centre to ensure that your vehicle is allowed onto the site.
