Ofcom has invited applications for a fifth terrestrial HD channel.
The service would join BBC HD, BBC1 HD, ITV1 HD and 4HD, currently available to 79 per cent of UK homes via an aerial. Switchover will see coverage extended to 98.5 per cent of households by the end of 2012, matching previous analogue services.
