From time to time aerial installers call the CAI office seeking advice when they experience difficulties with clients who manage shared aerial systems. There is almost an element of surprise from engineers if we manage to identify the fact that there is no engineering work taking place and transmitters are functioning as they should.
Generally however, the information systems confirm there is no actual switchover work taking place but there maybe nearby activity. The notorious business is where some homes may receive overlapping signals. However, Digital UK (DUK) are perfectly clear that all switchover related work is being communicated.
CAI members can log onto the member’s section of the web to find all the relevant links provided by DUK and the BBC, to help establish and engineering work that is ongoing for transmitters that appear to be causing them problems.
