The Confederation of Aerial Industries is pleased to report that they have secured 2 prime venues for their trade fairs for 2011. The first venue confirmed is Epsom Downs Racecourse 2 and 3 March 2011 and the second is Leeds United Football Club 15 and 16 June 2011.
Timings of the two shows will also differ for next year. For Epsom, the show will run from 2pm until 9pm on the first day, and from 10am to 4pm on the second day. Leeds United Football Club will also follow suit with the same timings over the two days.
A gala dinner for exhibitors and their guests will take place around September, possibly coinciding with a corporate day; more details on this will follow.
Historically, the CAI office has always run roadshows in February with the main trade fair taking place in June. The June trade fair has for the last 8 years, been held at the National Agricultural Centre, in Stoneleigh Warwickshire, but the board of directors at the CAI felt for next year, it was time for a change.
Suzanne Hamm-Bury, Marketing Specialist at the CAI said “we have been aware for some time that both our exhibitors and our visitors wanted a change, and felt the time was right for us as the trade association in our industry, to make that change for 2011”. “We diligently visited many exhibitors at the end of the 2010 show and asked them what they wanted for the future, and unanimously they replied that they wanted a north and south main trade show”. “As technology is changing all the time and at great speed, it is important for us to provide an offering of up to the minute venues for our shows, where our exhibitors and visitors alike feel comfortable with the environment”.
She concludes – “This is a very exciting time for the CAI, as we have stepped away from the things that have always worked, which includes no longer embarking on roadshows across the country”. “By having a show in the North and South of the British Isles, we hope that visitors will be encouraged to visit, knowing that key presenters will be at both, and all our major exhibitors will also be present at both”. “As our plans progress, we will obviously have details of our presenters and content, and this will be published in due course”.
