Blakeglow Limited.
David Hodges, Chairman of the CAI, was educated in Sevenoaks and at South London Technical College, and completed his apprenticeship as a development engineer with GEC Elliot Automation working on power station control and monitoring systems. After a short period at the SIRA Institute as a research technologist, he joined Chubb working on electronic security systems, including their large security projects, and became Surveillance Divisional Manager running the CCTV operation.
In 1978 he joined the CAI and thereby became involved with the Confederation. At that time, he had the opportunity to develop some very special entry communication systems and, as a result of this work, Blakeglow Ltd was formed which he currently owns. Over the years he has moved Blakeglow into the installation field and so sees the industry from both the manufacturing and installing viewpoints. He has been on the Board of Directors of the CAI since March 1980 and is also a member of the SCTE. |
