This is a mix of theory and practice, best practice with respect to digital installations will be explained and opportunities to put knowledge gained into practice will be provided.
Who should attend?
The course is only suitable for those with at least 6 months experience in the installation of domestic systems or have successfully completed the CAI Basic Radio & TV Installation course. Delegates must be familiar with all relevant Health & Safety Guidelines including Working at Heights

Recommended levels, impulse interference, received C/N and BER - Signal Measurement
Types of meter and terminology, measuring levels, C/N and BER - Aerial Selection
Review of types & location of aerials, CAI Aerial Benchmarking - Cable and Outlets
Types and specifications, CAI Cable Benchmarking - Set-top Boxes
Functions & interconnections - Multipoint Distribution
Including electrical safety - Customer Relationships

Certification: Successful delegates will receive a CAI Basic Installer Certificate, accredited by City & Guilds. It is also recognised as evidence of underpinning knowledge towards NVQ Level 2.
