Business Development Manager (Bristol)

Description:  The role is based in Bristol although Avonline are selling services nationally, and reporting directly into the Managing Director. The candidate will be responsible for lead generation and securing new customer business within the targeted markets and business areas.

The role will be entirely focused on business development and will not have any day-to-day account management responsibilities. In the course of the business development activities it is expected that the candidate will secure the opportunity to bid for new works. The candidate will be responsible for the bid management of the Avonline offers within the existing company processes.

The Candidate will be responsible for creating a new business pipeline and managing all new business opportunities and enquiries from new customers. The Candidate will need to work with other Sales team members to ensure that any opportunities that affect current accounts and customers are managed appropriately. The candidate will be responsible for taking all new opportunities through the complete sales cycle and process ensuring that all commercial agreements are in place and a successful handover to operations is carried out.

The candidate will need to be able to identify and secure the support of new business partners that may be required for Avonline to compete for business in new or parallel service areas

Requirements:  The candidate must have at experience of working in the MOD, Public services or Government selling services.

With other areas of focus being, Leisure, Hotels and Education.

The candidate must be able to leverage that experience and readily create new business opportunities for Avonline Network Services Ltd across any of its product and service areas.

The candidate must have experience of and be able to take Avonline’s products and expand existing and new markets. The candidate must be able to analyse the applicable market and devise and implement successful strategies to create new customer leads and secure new business in these areas.

The candidate must be able to identify and understand the customer needs, to take Avonline’s products and services and independently create a customer focused value proposition in order to secure new business with any new customer.

The candidate must be able to, and be responsible for, successfully approaching and engaging newly targeted customers.

The candidate must be able to engage new customers at all levels in order to demonstrate Avonline’s core benefits and values.

The candidate should be able to compose and successfully present Avonline’s products and value propositions to all levels of its customer.
